Savannah- Mary Jo Aiken, 60, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at her Windsor Forest home. Mary Jo was born in Rockdale, Illinois. At the age of twenty-four she moved to Hollywood, California, married her devoted husband, Leonard Aiken, and later moved to Aberdeen, Washington. Six years ago they moved to Savannah, Georgia where she resided until God called her home. She was an artist, educated in the schools of Hollywood where she studied art, writing and photography. She has copyrights for many writings and poems. Because of her adventurous spirit and love for nature, she traveled all over the states. Along with several others, she made a movie called “Big foot-Man or Beast.” She was preceded in death by her parents. She fellowshipped at Glorify Miracle Deliverance Church of Christ: she loved and enjoyed her church family dearly.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her devoted husband Leonard Aiken and family, and two devoted friends, Rose and Pam.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
